Wildlife Artist – Yorkshire, England
Since a very young age, I have always been "good at art." But it wasn’t until late 2021, after deciding I needed a weekend hobby, that I picked up my paintbrushes again.
Why had I waited so long? I don’t know. Life got in the way, I guess. My life changed quickly, and a small business grew.
My art is more than a passion for me—I would be lost without it now. The joy I bring to others through it drives me further on.
I use colour pencil exclusively and work on a commission basis (usually pet portraits),
building my own collection of wildlife drawings in between.
Born in Yorkshire, England, and raised in the British Army in Germany, a life of traveling has always meant change was one of the few constants in my life.
One constant has been my love of birds and wildlife, so it’s no real surprise that my art has centred on that subject.
Pet portraits and equestrian art follow naturally, and as a dog owner myself (my adorable Beagle Clover), I appreciate why one would want their pet immortalised in art.
Now, in my 50s, married and living in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, I have two beautiful grown-up daughters and two wonderful granddaughters.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope you enjoy my work.
